I was going to include this with my links today, but it's such an interesting subject that I decided it deserved its own post. Below is a video of John Nichols from The Nation magazine speaking about the disconnect between old media models and a nonfunctional new media model for producing journalism. Nichols is the co-author of The Death and Life of American Journalism: The Media Revolution that Will Begin the World Again. He was speaking as part of a panel discussion at the 2009 Nation/Campus Progress Student Journalism Conference.
